Chevy is charging up its Silverado pickup truck.

A Tuesday announcement at the electric motor vehicle manufacturing unit in Detroit-Hamtramck verified that the expected Common Motors electrical pickup truck would be a Chevrolet Silverado. The all-electric truck will use GM’s new electric battery platform, Ultium, to ability a 400-mile vary on the comprehensive-sizing pickup.

The truck will be the latest edition to the long-established Silverado line, but it’ll be a entirely new style as an electric car.
