Raghav Juyal’s ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ Struggles at the Box Office Amid ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Storm
Raghav Juyal’s Solo Lead Faces Tough Competition
Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal has taken on his first solo lead role with Bhai Tera Star Hai, a comedy entertainer directed by Vivek B. Agrawal. The film was released in theatres on 30 July 2026 and aimed to bring back the light-hearted comedy style popularized by Govinda in the 1990s. Before the release, Raghav had expressed his hope that the film would revive the classic family-comedy genre in Bollywood.
However, the film has faced a difficult start at the box office due to a direct clash with the Hollywood blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has dominated ticket sales across India.
Slow Opening at the Box Office
According to the latest trade reports, Bhai Tera Star Hai collected approximately ₹0.23 crore on its opening day. The film showed little improvement on Day 2, taking its two-day domestic total to around ₹0.50 crore. Trade analysts have also reported that the film’s screen count was reduced after its weak opening performance.
The poor performance has largely been attributed to the overwhelming popularity of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has attracted massive audiences and occupied a significant share of cinema screens.
Audience Response
While critics and viewers have appreciated Raghav Juyal’s comic timing and energetic performance, the film has struggled to generate strong footfall in theatres. Many fans have praised his transition from dancer and television host to leading actor, but positive word-of-mouth has not yet translated into substantial box office numbers.
Can the Film Recover?
Despite the slow opening, the makers will be hoping for improved collections through positive audience reviews and weekend family audiences. Comedy films occasionally witness steady growth if word-of-mouth remains strong, although Bhai Tera Star Hai currently faces an uphill battle against one of the year’s biggest international releases.
For Raghav Juyal, the film remains an important milestone as his first theatrical solo lead. Regardless of its commercial outcome, the project marks another step in his evolution as an actor following acclaimed performances in films like Kill.
Only the coming days will determine whether Bhai Tera Star Hai can recover at the box office or continue to struggle against strong competition.
