Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 Witnesses Record Participation with Nearly 65,000 Runners
Mumbai, January 19, 2025: The 20th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with nearly 65,000 runners taking to the streets in one of India’s most prestigious road races. The event, organized by Procam International, featured multiple race categories, including the full marathon, half marathon, Open 10K, Dream Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and Champions with Disability.
Over 12,000 participants competed in the full marathon, while the half marathon saw around 15,000 runners. The remaining participants took part in shorter races, making the event one of the largest in its history. Tata AIA giving support to the AIA One Billion campaign which aims to help one billion people across the world become healthier and lead longer lives by 2030
Apart from being a premier sporting event, the marathon served as a major charitable initiative, raising ₹43 crore for various social causes. More than 13,000 runners participated in support of different NGOs and philanthropic efforts.
The marathon took place in extremely hot and humid conditions; yet, there was significant enthusiasm displayed by both professional athletes and amateur runners. On the iconic Mumbai route, the spectators cheered for the runners, adding to the marathon’s electrifying atmosphere.
