A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, August 10, 2026,according to reports at least 164 people dead and more than 880 people havebeen injured, while rescue teams continue searching in damaged buildings.
The powerful earthquake was felt across several parts of Colombia, including major cities such as Cali, Pereira, Quibdó, Armenia and Manizales.

The earthquake caused damage to buildings, homes and Several structures collapsed there in western colombia.
Hospitals in some affected areas have also faced pressure as large numbers of injured people were brought in for treatments.
Cali, one of Colombia’s largest cities, was among the areas significantly affected. Rescue workers and volunteers have been continously working for saving the lifes of the citizens.
